The issue Spring/Summer 2009 implies the idea that fashion is not the serious matter we know it to be in reality. The fun lies in mixing and combining pieces or the possibility of changing the volumes of clothes through invisible mechanisms. The color preferences, general fashion considerations and styling directions in TFL's 'Color Trends & Fashion Inspirations' are divided up into three categories: Chic, Classic and Casual:
The Classic world is deeply inspired by colors of the Mediterranean beaches, where the strong appeal of the sea combines with the period of figurative arts. Flaming and almost primary colors convey strength and energy, but drive us towards a measured chromatic indiscipline through creative and post-futuristic combination, daring with creative couplings
Casual colors reflect the cold light of pixels and deformed effects. Unusual combination remind us of new forms of mimetism. Iron grey cuts these colors and makes them matchable, while deep yellow inflames them of a dazzling light with psychedelic effects
Chic shades are inspired by a harmonic and natural world, invaded by the warm and fascinating colors of plants. Basic colors conveying quiet and pureness, but taking us back to the '60s when combined with green and violet, with more cutting vivid spirit.

The issue Autumn/Winter 2009/10 implies the idea that trends are only real trends when they become a style. Music represents the harmony of contrasts and in that way also stands for creating new fashion styles by mixing colors and contrasts. Especially with such a personal touch a new style can be created.

The Classic world is characterized by diluted color effects. Clean and earthy colors play a big role in this section. In curious combination they seem to be like an experiment. Brown and green tones mixed together create a hint of mystery in combination with gray and foggy shades.
Casual colors reflect the style of mixed technologies. Juicy orange tones, drunken scarlet and neutral nuances combine in a dangerous relation. The way how a dynamic brilliance and shining is created seems like a magic formula. Pavement grays brought together with dazzling lights are a contrast to passionate and theatrical tones
Chic shades are inspired by digital prints and holograms. This trend is dominated by solid and cold tones. Midnight blues and earth tones as well as deep pink are opposing and in that way creating a world of playful patterns. The interaction of functional blues and structured browns open out onto turbulent explorations that burst forth in stormy alchemies
